Imagine my surprise when I open my Hagenbuch Family News and I see an article written about my mother and aunt, whose birthday, by the way, is today, August 7th. I was first introduced to this site by a cousin who was interested in genealogy. I glance at it and store it in a folder with all the others meaning to delve in further sometime in the future. I’ve also thought about making the trek to Danville for the picnic but it has not worked out. I think now that I will have to try harder to get there so I can reconnect with some of my relatives. I certainly learned more about them from this article than I ever knew before. Thank you for that.

Hi Suzanne. Very nice to hear from you. My sincerest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother. I enjoyed learning about her, her sister, and their families. It would be very nice to meet you someday if you can make it to a future reunion too!

I have a few questions about your mother and family. It would be great to connect with you via email. You can reach me using the contact form: https://www.hagenbuch.org/contact-us Thank you again for reaching out and I am glad that you learned something about your Hagenbuch side 🙂

Hi! We had been in communication via email a few years back about our family! I sent some photos and other info at that time. I was planning to reach again out after my cousin Suzanne sent me this link. Thanks for writing this article!

Hi Deirdre. I went back and looked in my email archives and sure enough there were your messages with pictures too! I am so sorry I didn’t remember this. Perhaps there is an opportunity for another article here about one of your ancestors? I’ll go back through your previous messages when I have a moment. I was happy to work on the recent piece, and Suzanne sent me an email that I am going to follow up on too 🙂
