Andrew , this is the BEST !!! To think you kept all the post cards and can share them in order is just amazing ! And it is wonderful to go back and see what ”Nana and Pop” were doing back in 1999
    when they were 79 and 82 !!!!!!!

I used to get letters from Mom (Nana) when I was overseas in the Navy in the late 60’s. I was always amazed that her thoughts could find me halfway around the world. Thanks Mom.

Thank you for posting this! I may not remember the specific trip in 1999, but I remember Dad (David) taking their AC unit out once or twice. I also think I remember when Rachel and Julie collected the chestnuts! Not to mention that barn! We stopped to go in it once. That was neat! I want to say I kept a few letters or postcards, but I have no idea where they might have ended up. All I can find anymore are the crafts. We all got an afghan. I still use mine once and a while. She also painted a bunch of ceramics that I still have. A bunch more that Mom, Dad, and Rachel have, too! I believe I’ve kept every book she ever gave me. They all have a signature and date. She did love us kids to the moon and back! Thanks again!

On occasion I would send Mom a letter from where ever I was, and found out many years later that she kept my correspondence to her. She made sure I got those letters back, along with other treasures I gave to her. I have 50 year old letters I wrote to her. Thanks again Mom.

Thanks for sharing this, Uncle Dave! Those are great mementos, and I am sure her letters tell a lot about what was going on while you were away. They are good history pieces 🙂
